To be the Electrical Infrastructure Service Provider of choice by setting the benchmark and consistently growing our market share.
To create wealth for stakeholders, add value and strive for excellence whilst enjoying the experience.
Tension Overhead Electrification (Pty) Ltd trading as Tractionel Enterprise was established in November 1982. Tractionel Enterprise is an electrical construction company that specialises in Electrical Infrastructure Projects, with a focus on both railway and power solutions. Starting out as a family business, Tractionel Enterprise has almost four decades of experience in the industry, which has proven our ability and willingness to adapt and compete in the ever-changing market.
In December 2014, Tractionel Enterprise became a part of Consolidated Infrastructure Group Limited (CIG), an investment company listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. This investment is greatly beneficial as it brings new expertise, experience and new business principles and ideas into the company, ideal for growth in many facets of Tractionel Enterprise.
Since 2007, we have had a top management team of young, dynamic team members with a combined managerial experience of 150 years. Together, we have successfully carried out a number of successful projects, making us confident and fully capable of leading Tractionel Enterprise through a period of growth to achieve all of our goals.
Tractionel Enterprises head office is based in Roodepoort, Gauteng. We have regional offices in Kathu, Northern Cape; Bellville area, Western Cape; and Durban area, Kwa-Zulu Natal. Our aim is to expand to a number of other regional areas throughout South Africa and ultimately into Africa.
At Tractionel Enterprise, we aspire to take our services and products into Africa. 600 million people in Africa do not have access to a power source. Having completed numerous local projects in the renewable energy field since 2012, we are purposefully focussed on exploring opportunities and securing many renewable projects throughout Africa. With all the necessary certifications in place, we are confident that we can secure projects funded by the World Bank on an international level, growing our commercial and support services.
In the face of a skills shortage in South Africa, we are passionate about growth and skills development. We have set up a number of projects which work towards socio-economic development.
One of these is the Palesa Rail Academy, with which we have formed a strategic partnership. Together we provide various learner ships to previously unemployed youths. These learner ships provide youths with training in rail skills and related areas to improve unemployment.
In an effort to assist upcoming businesses with specialised services, we provide training in management skills and interest-free loans. In this way, we helped Usendo Security Services to grow from only two guards to a national company who provide their services to large companies, such as MTN. Employee Wellness is also at the top of our priority list and we offer Employee of the year incentives. More recently, we have got involved in sponsoring a company-based soccer team along with various other socio-economic development projects.
We boast a diverse client base including Transnet, Metrorail, The South African Rail Commuter Corporation and all major Mining Houses including Impala, the Anglo group and BHP Biliton.
